Brazilian Strawberry Limeade
I had some extra limes from another recipe and decided to try this out. We didn't have any ice so I added a bunch of frozen strawberries and it made it so much better! Thought I would share...
2 limes
1/2 cup sugar (maybe a little less)
3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
3 cups water
about 10-12 frozen strawberries
ice
Wash limes thoroughly. Cut off the ends and slice into eight wedges. Place limes in a blender with the sugar, sweetened condensed milk, water, and ice.
Blend in an electric blender, pulsing 5 times. Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove rinds. Serve over ice.

Then straight down to Firth
After camping, Ryan had to go back home for school but I took the boys and we headed down to Firth for my brother's farewell. For fun we went to the
On Saturday we went to the Bingham County Fair with Jeff and Kapri.
I've lived next to it my whole life and have never gone. It was pretty cool actually.
There was a huge display of potato mashers
The largest potato on record was 18 lbs! That's way more than the potato Jeff and I won $100 for! Ours was only 2.9 lbs! When I figure out what's wrong with the scanner, I'll post the picture for you.
The largest potato crisp
The trip was completed with an Idaho potato
On Saturday we went to the Bingham County Fair with Jeff and Kapri.
We saw little horses
And of course we ate about a week worth of calories in one sitting. How could you go to the fair and pass up a teriyaki bowl, Reed's Dairy ice cream, elephant ears, and apples and cinnamon funnel cakes? You just can't, so we didn't. :)
We actually ended up finding a new car in the classifieds too. We're now proud owners of a Honda Odyssey!
Sunday was Jordan's farewell talk. He did a really good job and of course everyone was crying their eyes out! He's going to be such a good missionary! Did I mention where he's been called? Neuquen, Argentina.

Camping over Labor Day
We arrived at Springy Point campground pretty late Friday evening and this beautiful sunset greeted us. And just to show you what can happen when you play with the settings on your camera, I got this a minute later...
Anyway, this isn't my photography blog anymore so let's get on with the rest of the weekend...

I love how Reese looks crazy in this picture! He was doubled up on jammies so we had to squeeze his little feet into his sandals.
On Saturday, we tried out the fish hatchery which turned out to be really lame. There wasn't any fish and it was under construction but the boys were still pretty excited about it.
(Ryan is striking his "Junior Muscle Magazine" pose)
After that, we headed over to Round Lake where we found a lot of these little guys.
Carson didn't want to touch it at first but Reese didn't hesitate picking him up and terrorizing Carson with it.
But then he warmed up a little bit.
Then the boys jumped in a raft and went out to find some frogs in the lilies.
Then we went on a hike around the lake.
These boys walked the entire two miles!
We found this tree that had fallen over and the roots made this cool little cave.
Towards the end of the hike there was this HUGE anthill! There were ants everywhere! It was taller than Carson!
On our way out we found this one:
After that, we headed back to camp, had some dinner and then I wanted to head out for shooting and came back with these:
Of course I did spend the majority of the vacation like this
On Sunday, we went on other hike but this wasn't a leisurely stroll around a lake. This was like a treacherous HIKE, especially with the chillins.
But we found the waterfall and there was wild salmon!
We made it back to camp all in one piece. We were planning on staying another night but it was supposed to get really cold and it was starting to rain so we called it quits and headed home.
Funny story, when we found the little pond at the bottom of the waterfall, Carson was dancing around because he had to pee. So we told him to go pee on the rock. Reese was watching and listening and decided he needed to pee too so he went over to where Carson was standing and lifted his shirt and stood there like he was peeing!
He just looked at us like "am I doing it right?" It was hilarious!
Ryan is getting the photography bug. He filled up my 8GB memory card on the hike around the lake! I'm not sure which ones I took and which ones he took but here's some that I like...
We had a surprisingly good time camping. We might even do it again sometime!
