The big 3-0!!!

30 is supposed to be a big milestone so I wanted to do something different. I got the idea of a girls trip to Seattle with some of my best friends and man was it the best birthday ever!!! As I was planning everything I had a little doubt in my mind that it wouldn't work out and wouldn't actually happen. But it did and it was so fun!! Ivy backed out the night before but the rest of us pulled it together and headed out Friday morning after we got the kids off to school. We stopped at Panera for lunch and then we headed to ikea.
We speant 5 hours there and pretty much my entire budget. Oops. Made for a tight ride the rest of the trip that's for sure.
Cassie met up with us and we went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner then stayed up until 2am chatting the night away.
The next morning we headed downtown for the underground city tour. It was really fun and interesting learning all the history.
Went to California Pizza Kitchen. Cassie met up with us there again.
Afterwards, we headed to the mall for a few hours then headed to a mariner's game. They won!

Next day, we hit Biscuit Bitch.
Then some more shopping and pikes place.

Then we stuffed the car the best we could and headed home.
Jett was already in bed when I got home but the next morning when he woke up he was so happy to see me! He practically jumped into my arms and smothered me with kisses. It was the best!!

Carson 8th birthday and baptism!!!

It was such a special day celebrating Carson in his decision to be baptized! I can honestly say that my testimony has grown because of this handsome boy. He has grown so much in the last few months preparing to be baptized. I've been very impressed with his determination to learn and grow in the Gospel. When it came time to get baptized he was so confident and sure of what he was doing. He was more than ready to make those commitments with his Heavenly Father. Carson has this light about him and you can just tell that he is special. He is such a tender-hearted boy and such a great leader and examplar for his younger brothers and sister. I'm so blessed to be his mom!

Carson quote of the day:
Two things Dad; first, lots of people of been telling me congratulations for getting baptized. And second, I've been hearing the Holy Ghost a lot.

The Seattle Seahawks mad it to the Super Bowl so for the time being, Carson became obsessed. So naturally he wanted a Seahawks birthday party.
